A practice that belongs to one doctor — by design.
In 1985, Dr. D. Babu Rani completed her DGO and returned to Coimbatore with a question that would define four decades of practice: why does fertility care — among the most personal medicine there is — get handled by rotation?
Sri Ganesh Fertility Center was her answer. A practice small enough that every patient's face is known, every file is read by the same hands that wrote it, and no cycle is ever reviewed by someone who wasn't there at the beginning.
In 1991, she took the fellowship examinations of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London — becoming one of a small number of Indian practitioners to hold FRCOG. In 2012, the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University recognised her with its Best Doctor Award. Outlook Magazine named her Best Gynaecologist — twice.
The accolades matter less than the wall of photographs behind reception — babies, now children, some now adults, whose arrivals were the real measure of the work.
